The installation was conceived and produced as part of the Publishing course taught by Saul Marcadent with Giorgio Calace, in collaboration with the design studio Cameranebbia. The project, titled After Prose, is based on a reinterpretation of archival materials selected from the printed magazines Purple (since 1992) and Self Service (since 1995), with the aim of merging analog and digital practices. Developed through moments of collective dialogue, individual feedback and group critiques, After Prose invited students to engage with images that carry strong visual, emotional, cultural, and political significance—encouraging personal interpretations and new narrative perspectives.
The work I presented was created in collaboration with Alessandro Fanti, Alice Armani and Bruna Maria Accurso who curated the selection of archival content. The visual component was developed using After Effects, with the intention of reactivating archival imagery and freeing it from its static and distant form. The final outcome was presented as a visual installation at Section80 Bar in Milan, offering an opportunity for dialogue and exchange with an audience beyond the academic environment.
This work was installed in Milan at Section 80, An environment that fosters creativity, offering the opportunity to read books, watch thematic screenings, and listen to music.
